Surprise, surprise...Scotty wins it. That's okay, though...He seems like a great guy who deserves a shot at the big time. Hopefully, that AWFUL song for his first single won't squelch his career before it really begins.
I also thought the finale was a let down...no excitement or surprises. Vickie, I was quite sure I heard you groaning when it was announced how serious Lauren's vocal chord injury was (is). That poor girl needs a rest.
The results show was interesting but I did miss bits and pieces during the first hour. The contestants all seemed to be having fun with their reunion and preforming with the special guests.
I didn't care for the Tom Jones prelude...James singing What's New Pussycat...Weird...I can't imagine he would ever choose songs like that...ever.
It was nice to hear Stefano doing Prince's...or in this case, Tom Jones' Kiss. Tom Jones can still sing (what is he, 70 or so?)but he looked a little Jersey Shore with the orange tan! I was so distracted by the unnatural tone of his skin.
Later I was disappointed that James didn't get to share a song with Steven Tyler...oh, well.
Well, I'm drawing a blank now...I'm short on sleep lately...it's amazing what that does to my brain function. I'm looking forward to reading your thoughts on last night's show.
