I missed David's performance- I was so sad! The little clip at the end though, seemed good and I am sure he will be safe another week.
I am a professional musician, and get annoyed that the judges settle for subjective judgements of the stars. For example, how many times have we heard Randy say, "well, it was okay for me... it was all right."
I believe that the judges were overly harsh tonight on Kristy and Brooke. I liked both of their songs, and did not hear any pitch problems with Kristy. Their main problems is that they don't have mammouth projection and power like the rest, and so they can never have the same emotional appeal as the top of the pack.
I do agree, though, that the boys hit the ball out of the park tonight... and this in a week when they were at a disadvantage. David Cook's song was really, really stellar, and he is the best of the pack at arranging songs to suit his voice. I definitely think that he could release his single from tonight's performance and do very well.
I think the final will be between the two David's- and if it isn't, I will be made as... well, you get the picture.
Great comments. I agree with you. The 2 Davids are really the best performers up there. Brooke should go tonight. I look forward to hearing more of your comments in the future.
